The Challenge
Fitting out a pharmacy requires strict adherence to both retail standards and healthcare regulations. The primary challenge was to maximize storage capacity for inventory while ensuring the layout met all Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and municipality hygiene standards. We needed to ensure specific temperature control requirements were met for medicine storage areas while maintaining an open, welcoming flow for customers.
The Solution Design Divine delivered a fully compliant healthcare space:
Approvals & Compliance: We managed the coordination for authority approvals, ensuring the site met all fire safety and healthcare facility guidelines prior to handover.
Hygienic Finishes: We installed medical-grade, easy-to-clean flooring and durable cabinetry. The materials were selected to resist chemical spills and frequent cleaning, which is essential for pharmacy operations.
Optimized Shelving & Lighting: We fabricated and installed custom gondola shelving and wall units to handle high product density without making the store feel cramped. High-CRI lighting was used to ensure labels and product details are easy for customers and pharmacists to read.
Exterior Signage: We handled the fabrication and installation of the 3D LED external signage to ensure high visibility from the main road.
The Result The project was handed over fully compliant and ready for stocking. The layout allows for efficient workflow for the pharmacists behind the counter while providing a comfortable retail experience for customers.
